Description and Challenges
In January 2023, our client is a property management company based in Atlanta, approached Corpsoft Solutions seeking to enhance their digital platform and streamline their booking and payment processes. The challenge lay in their existing platform, which made navigation difficult for users. High upfront prices often caused hesitation in bookings, and the lack of advanced search filters made it harder for customers to find suitable properties. Additionally, synchronizing property data with platforms like Airbnb was time-consuming, and their manual system for invoicing monthly payments was inefficient.
The client’s project certainly piqued our interest, and we were excited to partner with them in creating a more flexible operating system. For us, it was also a challenge since the company’s market is in real estate. Let’s take a closer look at their business — the client’s project specializes in long-term rentals (30–90 days) for people, mostly from the film industry. They also cater to production companies and individuals looking for a “home away from home” during extended stays. Their clients value privacy, safe neighborhoods, and proximity to film studios this is where we stepped in with our solutions.
Key Features Implemented in Property Booking Platform
The Corpsoft Solutions team implemented several key features:
API integration with Guesty and Stripe: This enabled automatic synchronization of property availability, bookings, and pricing, ensuring real-time updates across all platforms. Integration with Stripe provided flexible payment options, including partial payments, deposits, and monthly payments.
Advanced search filters: Users can now filter properties by various criteria, such as a backyard, a pool, or proximity to key locations like film studios.
Flexible price display: Instead of showing the full cost of long-term bookings upfront, the platform now breaks down the pricing into initial payments and monthly rates, making the pricing structure more transparent and less overwhelming.
Automated invoicing: Monthly invoices for long-term rentals are generated automatically, simplifying the payment process.
Interactive maps and location filtering: An interactive map allows users to view properties based on their proximity to film studios or other key locations.
Value of Creating a Marketplace for Property Management Platform
Creating a specialized marketplace for our client transformed the user experience by aligning business needs with a more intuitive booking process. With advanced search filters and flexible pricing displays, clients can now easily find and book properties. Payment automation and real-time synchronization of property data reduced the administrative workload.
This also freed up time for the team to focus on growth and customer service. The marketplace provides a competitive edge in the property management industry, where flexibility and customer-centric solutions are key to success
Impact on the Business
The results of the new platform were quick to show. Our team is always focused on delivering fast (within reason) and, most importantly, visible results that were previously missing for the client. We created a simplified search process and an intuitive booking flow that increased user satisfaction. This led to higher conversion rates for long-term rentals. The automated payment systems and flexible pricing options also reduced friction, making booking easier for clients.
Real-time synchronization with Guesty and other platforms ensured the availability and pricing information was always up-to-date, reducing the risk of double bookings or misunderstandings. The new platform paved the way for future growth, as the company now has the tools to expand beyond Atlanta and serve customers in new markets.
The Tech Stack Used During the Marketplace Development
As you can imagine, creating a marketplace without knowledge and experience is tough, so here’s the list of technologies we used for Mintyliving:
Laravel for the backend framework, ensuring a secure and scalable platform.
Vue.js/React.js for a smooth and responsive frontend experience.
PostgreSQL is the database to manage property listings and user information.
Stripe API for payment processing, providing flexible and secure transactions.
Guesty API for real-time synchronization of properties and bookings.
Google Maps API is used to filter and visualize properties based on location.
AWS for hosting and supporting scalable infrastructure.
